A Healing Angel from Japan

Asitaba is called as a healing angel on account of its abundant efficacies. The member of Apiaceae family has been proven to be effective in overcoming various deadly disease such as leukemia, lung cancer, tumor, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. Besides the leaves that is rich in chlorophyll, the part of Angelica keiskei Koidzumi plant that is used as medicine is yellow gland. The active compound contained within are xantoangelol and 4-hydroxyderricin. Both compound have apoptosis effect or triggering the death of cancer cell. The plant that is originated from the island of Hachijo, Japan, is now beginning to be cultivated in Indonesia. (Ari Chaidir
